Michael: I hasten to say that I didn't think you were suggesting it; I was hoping to convince people who might think it amusing from actually doing anything along those lines. It's the Secret Service who come in when a threat is made to any of the people to whom the agency provides protection, and believe me, they are what one writer might call Very Serious People. In the U.S., the simple act of making the threat against the president is itself a felony; one doesn't have to take action on it to get in trouble! And they follow up on every threat made, no matter how silly it appears. Thanks for pointing this out! --tim
