Ugh, this thread seems like Crap to me. Let me talk about MY
Demographics.
I'm Puerto Rican, 100% Roach Herder. Spic. When my hair gets long
people say I look American Indian; some people even suggested a tribe
name or two. Puerto Ricans, racially, are a mix of the indigenous
Indians living on the island during the colonial period, Spanish
Europeans, and Africans. Thus some PRs have blonde hair and blue or
green eyes, while some are black, and most are somewhere in between.
I was raised in a very racially diverse southern Californian, middle
class surban neighborhood with aspirations to Utopia. We had one of
America's first indoor malls and America's First solar powered city hall.
ON MY ONE STREET I had Irish, Scottish, African American, Chinese,
Mexican, Korean and Vietnamese friends. We all went to the same High
School and pretty well shopped at the same grocery stores. We played
football together and got into fights. My two closest friends were the
Irish guy and the Chinese. So I alternated between Real Irish Beer and
Real Chinese Food depending on whose house I visited, then came home to
Real Spic Cooking--arroz con pollo, etc.
Now, YOU tell ME why I like J.D. Salinger and what my racial background
has to do with it.

PS No, add up all the minorities (including women as they are represented
by race) and you still have a large minority. Doublecheck your
demographics. But why would you do this? What Shit. In American victim
thought, Non-Whites are minorities, (except for Jews, who have the
privilege of being white and victimized...but wait, the Irish have that
privilege too...but they aren't considered a minority? Well, yes they
are. Just not by non-whites. Oh, that's right, the ruling class are all
WASPS here. So Catholics are minorities--I forgot the religious
component. Then we can transcend religion and race and look at physical
abilities--the handicapped are minorities too, even if they're white. It
gets confusing. WIll the Biggest Victim Please Stand Up?
