Daniel's post got me thinking about how, in one regard, I have little to
actually relate to 19th century france, and how I feel as though my move
of Balzac has nonetheless made me love this time and place deeply through
characters that still live in parts of me...
When Daniel used the panoticon image (which I understood and agreed with
almost immediately) I wondered if he was pulling this idea from something
