Like - oops, I’ve erased the message and thus my “memory” - like Ms. X, I’m
getting kinda nervous when I don’t find any e-mails regarding the list in my
mailbox. Is it not working or what? I get this nervous feeling of my youth,
when I couldn’t use my electric toothbrush, afraid my close-to-be-girlfriend
would call and I’ll miss the signal, having this monstrous sound 2
centimeters from my ears [*]. Or maybe it is rather the more analogous
memory of constantly checking the phone to see if the line is really
working, since there has got to be some technical reason for Her not to
call.
Not even the enormous boredom from which this message is conceived, will
stop me from getting back to work this instant. Character, a forgotten
virtue of the past. Character...

[*]: A note to the physicists out there: my head is really thin so I
approximate the distance from mouth to ear to be constant, even though I
have the motor part of the toothbrush hanging out of my mouth in different
directions depending of which tooth is getting cleaned. Since someone noted
the lack of natural science comment on this list, I’d thought I’d contribute
