No odder, really, than the likelihood (supported by 99% of those canvassed
in these very quarters--which are tiny fractions of a Euro, Cecilia--some
months back) that Jerome probably perused most of his live baseball games in
the Polo Grounds, where he more than likely also cheered for the dreaded Giants.

Sigh.

He DID write one of the best baseball stories ever, though....

Who cares how many shopping days left until Christmas?!? There are WAY too
many weeks before Opening Day!

Right now, I'm going to visit the relevant websites and determine which
dates are best for the 2nd Annual Bananafish Baseball/Holden's New York
Extravaganza (this year incorporating both Mattis' Mets and Will's Damn
Yankees, if possible.... Maybe, if there is a god, we can even include
Cecilia's Cubs.... And this time, it's utterly essential that we visit the
merry-go-round (quaint Canadianism for 'carousel') to let smoke get in our
eyes, in Central Park.

Cheers,

Paul
