Oh, no. The idea of you, Scottie, wearing the same colored jersey as Reagan,
Bush, Thatcher, Buckley? Helms??, Gingrich??? et al. comes as a shock. I'd
just assumed that in the end you'd find self-righteousness a more tolerable
vice than myopic self-interest. These are bad times. I need a drink.
By the way, it's typically NEW money that does it. The Weyerhauser and
Dupont offspring I've known, bless their well-bred, bleeding hearts, were
liberal. I'll add that my own place on the spectrum has remained unaffected
by the vertiginous swings of the MSFT ticker.
