i'm spending christmas with a friends family in las vegas, and at dinner the
matriarch of the clan asked everybody "what's your favorite christmas
memory." the stories that came up along the way included descriptions of
numerous homes across the west, fights, multiple divorces, poverty, and
general destition. despite all this they still had a sense of humor about it
all and were rather fond of the memories. i was last, and this was my
answer:
every one from 1977-1994. i lived, in the same house the whole time, with a
family that always provided for me, my dad was still alive, and i didn't
have a clue how good i had it or how happy i was.
