$1,000 for the issue with "The Young Folks" is mighty steep though
when you can read the same story in plenty of libraries for free.
Actually, as the result of some scholarship by Warren French, we know
Salinger's first published story was not "The Young Folks." (False
Advertsing!!!)

"Go See Eddie" appeared in the Kansas City Review in l939.
