13 huh? Wow, that is young for a book with such serious content. I had to
read it in AP English in HS and was 16 at the time. Hmm, I didn't realize I
was that young but oh well. I agree with you that my opinion might change if
I were to read it now at the age of 21, but I don't think the overwhelming
sadness and helplessness of the main character would dissipate.
