Meghan -- I'd just get her _Collected Stories_ and start from there. Then
get _Mystery and Manners_ -- they're a collection of her essays -- if you
want to read her insulting writing students to their faces :).

btw, I agree with Adam's assessment of your self description.

Daniel -- I'd read a book ABOUT Derrida before I actually read Derrida
himself. Sure, John thinks he's easy. Uh huh. Don't read Glas. Don't even
look at Glas. Start with _Of Grammatology_ or _Writing and Difference_. See
if you can find his essay, "Structure, Sign and Play in the Discourse of
Human Sciences."
