eh, here's a little something I had by way of Salinger via another author...

I'm thinking of Anthony Burgess' Inside Mr. Enderby--comparing the middle
aged, adolescent poet Enderby to HC in Catcher.  Both wound up in some kind of
psychoanalysis, and we see what happened to Enderby.  

makes ya wish Phoebe had let Holden go :)
