Call me a romantic but I have always seen the fact that Muriel would not allow publication of the poems as a sign of her still grieving for her husband. Perhaps they were a reminder of his deep sensitivity of perhaps a source of his social ineptness. I have given this some thought over the years and I never thought of financial gain as one of her motives. Patti
