I agree with Fish on that point and am grateful for the work he's done, I'm
just stupid enough to think literature and authors are a part of that
interpretive community as well.

And if we're going to talk about an author and not just about his text, we
should have the decency and honesty to do so within the author's interpretive
community and not just our own.
