    Is there a gear tooth missing in the bananafish machine?

    All the other posts seem to cohere but Matt's

    appears never to have struggled ashore on this nun-ridden
    island. Is it possible they abducted the poor thing on arrival
    & now have it locked up in some tiny cell wearing a black
    shroud & with all its amusing hair clipped off?
