    Hello fellow bananafish,

    To quote a bit:

> I wonder about that nun, William. Sister Connie?
> CONNIE? I've heard of Sister Suzie, all right, but

One of the advantages of not getting involved in on-line debates
is that I need not remember who said what to whom, who misconstrued
the reply, and who mispelled the rejoinder.
With this disclaimer I mean to excuse myself if I am putting my
head in between a lion and a tiger without being completely sure
    what they were last fed.

It simply appeared to me that when Will wrote "I work in a
college with nuns from the Sisters of Mercy and base my perception on
healthy working relationships that exhibit kindness and intelligence on a
daily basis" he was asserting that even though one may present numerous
examples of far less than perfect members of the group under discussion,
there exist a sufficient, perhaps even greater, number of well adjusted,
sincere members of that same group.

An assertion upon which nicknames, personal choices of any members of
Will's hypothetical family, or the goings-on of the Hochman household
seem to have very little bearing.

    all the best,
    Mattis
