I feel slightly silly about not having revealed this information
before. I'm not quite sure why I didn't (something of Buddy's instinct
in the wedding car, perhaps). I think I didn't want to seem to be name
dropping (rather ridiculously, since Richard is hardly a super star).
Well, then not having let on that we are friends suddenly seemed rather
stupid, because it is one of the specific problems I have with
interviewing him, and anyway such reticence is rather pointless. Sorry!
(Now, now, don't all swamp me with begging letters for autographs and
donations to worthy charities ;-))
