I have just gotten "The Way of a Pilgrim" from our library and while I
was reading I noticed that at the end, the pilgrim gets the chance to
travel to Jerusalem with a deaf old guy. He is persuaded to give up his
solitude because the guy hardly ever speaks, being deaf, and thus
won't hinder his engagement with the prayer. Could this be linked with
Muriel's uncle?

Love, Lucy-Ruth
