I don't have the book on me at this moment, but I am pretty sure you
are confusing the tangerine with the chicken soup. The tangerine never
even gets to Franny. Bessie's chicken soup, on the other hand, is on
nearly every page (it's a nice sane alternative to cheesburgers and
cokes).
