got the scars on my wrists, poor sweet baby."

And an odd one to follow from S:AI:

"The other kids in the family, not exclusively but especially the boys, the
many pre-puberty boys we always seemed to have around the house, used to be
fascinated by his wrists and hands."

Seymour being a very hairy man, youth and adolescent.) >>

Yes! One of the most interesting aspects of Seymour is how JDS describes his
physical traits. We talked earlier about the "feet" theme.

Also, I think in RHTRBC, Les Glass is at Buddy and Seymour's apartment, and
there is a wonderful description of Seymour. Anyway, Les walks over to S and
checks for nicotine stains on his fingers. He was very hairy, and this was
emphasized by JDS, (is that what was meant by tatooes?). Apparently when S
and Buddy would get their hair cut, Seymour's hair would "jump" over to
Buddy's lap.

Its so fascinating how the "material world" is irrelevant for a person like
Seymour, yet esswential for a woman like Muriel.

On another related note, does anyone think that the poems of Seymour will
ever materialize? It seems as though JDS gave us a taste, with the haiku and
the story about the person dying who listens to someone outside the window (I
know Im butchering it, sorry)..then he sort of shut us out by saying that
Muriel had legal possesion or something.
Personally, I find it VERY hard to believe that a resourceful English scholar
such as Buddy Glass would let them collect dust for too long..
