Iīve been in several discussions about this subject as well, and here
is how I look upon it:

We are still in the 20th century...

My reasoning is this: Those who started counting didnīt start with
the Year 0... They started with Year 1... So now, when we write
Year 2000, only 1999 years have actually passed - therefore still
leaving us in the 20th Century...
