Greetings and salutations!

While re-reading F&Z an important idea came to my mind... I find it VERY interesting how the Glass children are maladjusted. For instance, here they all have this proficiency for language-yet cannot communicate effectively to the world.

Zooey= talented actor, "surpassingly handsome" yet at 25 still lives at home with his parents, anmd has to "dragged out" for drinks.

Buddy= English professor who lives in seclusion and is proud to be considered a recluse

Franny=chraming girl of twenty-something who prefers the confides of a couch to the outside world.

Seymour= Very perceptive of people adn their idiosycraties (like when he observes the cues between M and her mom, and how M "falls in and out of love" with him yet appears to have no social skills with adults.

Walt, BooBoo=jury is still out!

Bessie=in I think Franny, it is mentioned that she "rarely leaves the apratment"

Les=maybe my favorite character in all of Salingers works. Enigmatic and taciturn, I see him as burnt out by the time we read Zooey. By the way, anyone else find it incredible that Les and Bessie dont show for Seymour's wedding?

Well, my diatribe is now complete!
