I guess I've been seeing the subject differently -- Seymour was always up
front, from despair in the predicate. Defining the despair is the big
question to me.

So far as the big stink goes, as Eliz correctly observed, I've been in a
mood, and the particular issues surrounding my stink are a Pet Peeve of mine
to begin with. Worse than Scottie with capitals.

I know my reaction is my problem, though.
