I agree, I agree. I was really in to this story for a while, because I
could not make any real sense of it, which is odd for a Salinger story.
There did not seem to be any real theme or point, so I hit the library and
none of the criticism I read had much to say about it either. ALl they
really could say is that it was about War Anxiety in the upper classes. And
most agree that it is actually a sub par story, which I hate to say I have
to agree with. Well, at least it is the only one I have come across so far.

It's the persistent guilt that I always should be doing more than I am
already doing... Damn that sense of responsibility!
