Jen -- I don't know if this will help you any, but if you're looking for
some great artwork, you should find a copy of the September 15, 1961 issue
of TIME magazine. They did a Salinger cover story, with a close-up
illustration of jds on the cover (and a little boy running toward the end
of a grassy cliff behind him). Inside Russell Hoban contribued
illustrations of Holden, Franny, Bessie and Zooey (Zooey's caption reads
"Like a Jewish-Irish Mohican). Specatacular. If Hoban has the originals, I
bet they're worth a forture. The TIME article is great too. --mark
