I um...don't know what to say. Well, I guess I will say that I read
Catcher when I was a young teen, liked it, but didn't really think too
much about it. Recently I was home and looking for something to read and
checked out my younger brothers shelves to find 'Nine Stories' which he
recommended because he had run a race in the park mentioned in one of the
stories. I can't remember the name of the story but it was about the
day-care guy and his kids who were Indians of some sort. Please forgive
me for not remembering the name of the story and for giving such a flip
description of the story itself. Anyway, since then I have
read as much Salinger as I could get my grubby hands on. I am really
excited for the 'new' release and would appreciate any info on getting my
own copy.

I'm just going to add one more thing. While I was reading some Salinger
at one of my aforementioned brother's long-ass indoor track meets, a
mother of one his friends, who also happens to be an English teacher at
his HS, asked me what I was reading. So I showed her saying that I was
just reading it for fun, go to sleep with a good book, kind of
reading. She replied that if she were reading that it would definately
be simply for her 'go to sleep' kind of reading. Can anyone understand how
angry that made me?

Like I said, not too much to say. I look forward to reading what you
all have to say, I think.
