bending your well-thought--or well-ACQUIRED, rather--morals in the name
 of tolerance.

Nope, sorry, you treat people as less than human--even Klan members or
adherents of National Socialism-- and you dehumanize yourself in the process.
You DO use every means possible to restrain them from hurting others. You DO
NOT treat them as less than human. "Love you enemies" means this if nothing
else, and if it does not mean this, it means nothing at all.

It's a tad pretentious to assume philosphies--moral or ontological--ACQUIRED
because you do not agree with them. Pick up Hodge's Systematic Theology, or
Augustine's City of God, or CS Lewis's Miracles, and tell me if these
represent ACQUIRED or well thought out systems of belief :)
