And her new album is excellent; one of her songs says:

	people talk
	about my image
like I come in two dimensions
like lipstick is a sign of my declining mind
like what I happen to be wearing
the day that someone takes my picture
is my new statement for all of womankind

Sort of like one of the between-song bits on "Living in Clip," where she
says people ask why she's writing "about loooooove and all that shit, and I
tell them I just ... got ... disTRACted."

When I bought a copy of the new one (Little Plastic Castle), the guy at the
cash register was keeping a tally of how many he sold; he was in a
competition, he said, with a friend of his over how sales would go; he said
they had about a million calls on Monday, asking about whether the album
was available yet. She was even in the NY Times two days in a row. Go
figure!
