> Weren't the theatres names The Rose and The Curtain in the movie? > Isn't it supposed to be The Globe? The Globe came later. In the movie when they are forced to take down the theatre, it was because they changed the boundary rules on where theatres could be (like brothels etc today they had to be kept far away from `respectable' areas). So they pulled the Rose down and shipped all of the lumber across the river to a place outside the boundaries, and renamed it The Globe (it was burned down in, I think, 1612, during a performance of Henry VIII which Shakespeare co-wrote) My Shakespearean thought for the day, Camille verona_beach@geocities.com @ THE ARTS HOLE http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Theater/6442 @ THE INVERTED FOREST http://www.angelfire.com/pa/invertedforest
