really? must be in places other than where I live. lol
Actually, it was my cousin, from Aneheim, that first
got me into Salinger in my freshman year of
highschool. The other day I was at my school's
bookstore and actually saw a copy of "Catcher in the
Rye" for sale, and found out that a teacher was
teaching it as a part of a modern american literature
class! Other books in the class were Hemingway's "A
Farewell to Arms", F.Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great
Gatsby"(which I read in highschool), and a few others.
So I guess there are Californian salinger fans, just
not many on the list. :)
