Scottie, I'm just a wee bit worried.
Over here in MY neck of the woods,
A guy could get in BIG trouble these
Days for messin' 'round with any "woman"
As young as ESME.....

.....Or maybe that's what you meant by
"in under the net."?

But I'm currently compiling a list of
REALLY BIG BOOKS about people who are
NOT involved in mano-a-womano relationships.

Cheers,

Paul

PS--Ahem, my apologies, ALL, for forgetting
to proofread the post that may have started
Scottie going, and thereby failing to add
the crucial word "FEMALE" to the final question.
(By the way, he seems to be suggesting some sort
of romantic, or even sexual element as central to
the essence of a Great Novel.... Or am I reading
him too much through the somewhat greasy eyeglasses
his mentor, Dr. Sig?)
Apologies also for seeming to change the definition
of OSL from Obligatory SL to Optional SL in recent
posts. I was sort of hoping that the, gulp, weighty
(or at least long) nature of the "WHERE ARE THE WOMEN?"
post might buy me a few brownie points....

Cheers,

P

(not to mention credentials as a "neo-romantic feminist"
in this important run-up to the Feast of St. Valentine....
F__K po-mos, mo-dos, and post-structuralists--
WHICH, METHINKS, IS THE MOST
UNKINDEST CUT OF ALL!

(sorry for that exclamation mark, Cecilia....)
