Oh, oh.... I'm getting a little worried when one half of the name of the
tenth province of Canada (Newfoundland and Labrador) is about to be
misprounounced in the bananafishbowl:

>Who have never been properly taught to say "New Foundland"

Since Islanders have a tendency to put the acCENT on the last syllaBLE,
NewfoundLAND actually rhymes with underSTAND.... (and it's LabraDOR--just
in case you're interested....)

Cheers,

Paul

OSR--Can anybody in close connection with the biographical material (and,
yes, Will, I shall seek out a copy of Hamilton, somewhere--if not the
Strand--sometime, if not sooner....) confirm or deny that Jerry made a
"research" trip to Montreal to gather material for the backdrop to DUMAURIER?
(All of which, I think, has been blasted into the future by urban renewal in
the meantime....)
