I will be courageously attending the film *Finding Forrester* this evening
and am interested in some pre- and post-viewing discussions.
For those of you who are not sinister media slaves, *Finding Forrester* is
the tale of a reclusive, non-publishing novelist who won the Pulitzer Prize
for his sole literary smash and comes out of his cave to mentor a youth.
Sound a tad familiar? Reviews do, indeed, claim that Sean Connery's
character, William Forrester, is based on ol' JD. Sean is the second weak
reason I will be attending this production.
I am certain JD is scoffing as he did when *they* desired to make *Shoeless
Joe* into *A Field of Dreams* with JD being a key player. I will be most
interested to see if any real literary references are made to our friend. I
would so love to sit in the audience and smirk at a few subtle innuendoes,
but perhaps I am hoping for too much. . .
Look for an up-and-coming movie review from yours truly. . .coming soon.
Jennifer
