Hapworthless

Days ago someone mentioned the possibility that
Salinger is aware of what is posted here in the fish
pond. Later as I was perusing the old archives it hit
me! I, yes me, myself was responsible for Hapworth not
being published! My insightful query to JDS "why this,
why now?" in 1997 made him scratch his head and say
damn right, what am I doing? So it is obvious to me
that all the blame,(glory), of the world being
Hapworthless, at least in the expensive hardbound
variety, lies on my shoulders. I guess Salinger fans
owe me their ire,(thanks), for this.

I read a review in the N Y Times that really slammed
Hapworth as a totally
unfitting finish piece for Salinger and the Glass
series. Since the reviewer
really went into detail, I dont think I will like it
too much either, although
I will suspend judgment of course until I have read
it.
My question to Salinger is why this, why now?
Im going to have to pull the peak of my hat around to
the back and think
about this one.
