B-Fishers!

It seems that D. has stolen my thunder, but nonetheless I read an Associated
Press (AP) story in my local rag about the lack of celebrations for CITR.
The article went on to list instances where JDS has come out behind his
fence to maintain his strict control of his writing- these included the Ian
Hamilton fiasco, the uncollected stories bound in Berkeley in the mid 70s,
etc. And the very last action by Salinger's "agents" was the shut-down of a
website that quoted from his novel. I put down my paper for awhile, and
then it came to me: The Holden Server! The webmaster/creator whose name
escapes me at the time(does anyone remember? Tim? Will?), I remember used to
frequent the list in its very early days and the closure of THS was one of
the big topics of discussion throughout that year. And then it damwned on
me, has it been that long...5 years. Man, that's an eternity in 'net-land!

Also, does this mean that Holden is 66 now?

Graham
