Hi All,
A long, long time ago, around 20 December, there was some
discussion on the list about the how and why of the name 'Glass'. As
usual, I'm way behind with my digests. But I'm throwing in my brand
new 2 Eurocent coin anyway.
Some of you may remember the BBC documentary on JDS that
was broadcast a couple of years ago. It contained an interview with
an old lady who used to be friends with JDS when they were young.
Her name was Frances Glassmoyer. I don't think the documentary
makers made the connection with Franny Glass though. I guess
Seymour Glass appeared in JDS' published work before Franny, but
still...Anyway: a link to JDS' real life doesn't preclude any symbolism
of course.
