Oh, how I have yearned for a thread about Anderson/Wilson movies to appear!
You're a better man than I, Mr. Beaman.

I think that even the casual observer would note that Catcher-esque elements
are prominent in both Rushmore and Bottlerocket.

I imagine Rushmore's Max (Banana) Fisher being a slightly less insane, blue
collar version of Holden.

In addition to Anthony's relationship with his sister in Bottlerocket, I was
struck by his name, which I think was the name of the Caulfield character in
one of the 22 Uncollected stories.
