Buddy is part of Salinger's voice, just like all the other members of the
glass family.  If you picture Salinger's voice as being a large circle, all
his characters are smaller circles within it.  I suspect Buddy may fill up
more of the larger circle than other characters, and perhaps at times the
lines of his circle are parallel to the lines of Salinger's, but I think those
times are rare...
