Savannah Gerogia is gorgeous!

I WONDER, WHAT MIGHT JD SALINGER THINK OF GEORGIA???

Speaking of JD Salinger (Ho Ho! I love it! A transitory phrase! Tee-Hee!) It
has struck me as odd how little importance, from what I've read, has been
issued towards The quotes on Seymours Wall. That would be on the Zooey Section
Of F&N starting at page 178 in the glowingly white version.

Two, in particular, are the Kafka quotes...In particular the one where a man
runs up to another man and asks if he would like to join them..."No, I don't."
Followed immediately by "The Happiness of being with people." (another Kafka
quote.)

Take this in with De Caussade's quote..."God instructs the heart, not by ideas
but by
pains and contradictions."

I may not know much about growing olives on a turnip branch, kiddos, but that
there seems like a mighty heavy bit'o'knowledge to just be ignoring. All of
the quotes seem to be the direct clues we'd all be looking for if we hadn't
made up our silly little minds already on the subject. God knows I have!

Muriel....on the subject of names...I remember, probably foggily, that her
name meant something like "Goddess of the Sea."
