When you throw a rock, yes, it makes it more accesible, by Seymours general
viewpoint...but it is important how that scene was presented...to me, I got
the sense that Seymour did it simply because he didn't know how to handle it
in any other way. 
By Muriel, sure, he learned (or, rather, un-learned) a great deal...(and was
able to make himself, perhaps, more accesable to the world? One Gun Shot, a
Hypermodern Sophisticate version of a rock? I don't think so, but it made an
interesting tangent, don't ya think? Eh, well, here's your parenthesi: )
