Yes, Wiegand's "Seventy-Eight Bananas" is one of the best pieces on Salinger's work--his psychological and religious insights have helped me more than anyone short of French and Alsen...in particular, WW's "diagnosis" and explanation of bananafever is handy for understanding not just seymour, but many of us living in "glass" houses!
