In a message dated 98-01-24 12:03:50 EST, you write: << so maybe you could tell me where it is so I could at least try to find it on a map? Please? >> Believe me, the fantasies of meeting Salinger are a much sweeter avenue. Like I said, by the time I got there I felt miserable and guilty for going. Enjoy the daydreams, they're a lot better than the real thing. I'm sorry to do this, but it is against everything I feel as a Salinger reader to give directions to his house. The man wants his privacy, and he's made that perfectly clear. We, as readers who love his stories, have an obligation to Salinger, and I feel I would be violating that if I gave away the location. Sorry! -ecas
