My reasons, are as follows:

1) JDS offers a wonderful critique of the superficial tendencies of
Western society.

2) JDS feels for the 'underdog' constantly in his work.....similarily,
most, if not all characters in his works display amazing empathetic
abilities.

3) JDS is a funny son of a bitch......once again, most, if not all of his
characters in his works display a wonderful sense of humor, both
intentionally at times and even more often, unintentionally (which makes
it even better, of course, because to TRY to be funny all the time would
be wonderfully fake, superficial, and non-JDS'ish).

Interesting question.....by the way. I hope to see many other responses
to this post. As always, feedback is appreciated
