You wanna see a lousy R & J, go see the 1940's Leslie Howard-Norma Shearer version. Looks very pretty, but if Norma Shearer's 14, I'm 38 (coincidentally how old she was when she played the part). Romeo has a *bald spot*, for Chrissake! I think Lurhmann should be commended for picking an R and J that, out of all versions, are the only ones teen audiences can really identify with. I'm hardly surprised by your assessment though, Matt - this version tends to be a `love it or hate it' dealie ... And Matt - don't underestimate diCaprio.
