Well, Jim, it's hard to say. I had been fooling with the doses on my
codiene cough syrup all evening before I went to bed. That, and I
watched a video of the A&E "Henry VIII" biography. I won't go as far as
to say that Bronchitis is worth the enhanced dreams with which one is
often visited in feverish delusion, but the line between dream and
nightmare is definitely compromised in an interesting way.

Probably it was probably a nightmare. But how might Colderidge have
described his dreamstate visitations? And would he have given back the
poems if he could have traded them for a good night's sleep? Now I have
written some lovely poems. But I will not wish upon myself any
experience like that of the past three weeks (fevers, doctors, nearly
passing out and falling into the Liffey), regardless of what dreams may
come.
