    I was only able to catch the last half - but will
    probably look out the repeat at Tim's indicated site.
    What I heard was certainly dull enough.  I wondered 
    which audience they might have had in mind.  The 
    presumption of ignorance was marked & there was 
    nothing of the conflict of viewpoint that makes the list 
    at its best so enjoyable.
    The underlying - & rather belittling - assumptions 
    about the eternal adolescent (hero & author) whose 
    only compass was one that led back to a fantasied lost 
    innocence sounded, curiously, not all that far from 
    George Will's.  
    I'd be interested - if he can bear to go back into it -
    to hear why Will thinks his contribution was not
    used.
