I hear you too!

One alternative for our subscribers who tend to lean more toward the
readership side rather than the heavy responders: you can switch to
digest mode. This will give you one large message daily. I've never
been able to calculate the point at which it does this (you all know
how bad I am at math, so I'm not sure you want me calculating this on
your behalf! 8-), but when the collection of daily messages hits a
certain point, it sends out a digest message of all the messages
collected into one big mail message.

This is useful for people who mostly read messages and rarely respond.
You can still respond if you want, but it makes your reading life
greatly simplified.

The instructions are on the home page at:

        www.roughdraft.org/JDS/

and should be pretty straightforward. If you need help, feel free
to mail me privately.

Remember, if you subscribe as a digest subscriber, to remove yourself
as a per-message subscriber, or else you'll get the digest PLUS each
individual message, and then you'll want to bury an ax in my head.
Given that I start to slow down after about three axes, I'd like to
avoid this option. <grin>

Cheers, and thanks to all the people, both new and old, who are
helping to make this a more vibrant and active list.
