I can't speak about what happens with hotmail and mail delivery there,
but when I write to the list I usually get a copy of it within about
60 seconds. I get copies on three different hosts (for safety's sake)
and each one gets the delivery promptly. I'm not pointing fingers at
hotmail, but....

The one place where delays occur is when some messages get bounced to
me for one or another problem -- such as "the Oops," which bounced
because it had the word "un___scribe" in it, and the list software
interpreted this as a command to it, so it bounced the message to me
for me to look at. Sometimes I'm not logged in, so such messages as
these will be delayed until I see them.

Exactly -- the list software filtered out your "___scribe" message and
bounced it to me. Of course, that is one I DIDN'T approve, since
there seemed little point. But sending along your "oops" explanation
helps clarify things!

(BTW, I'm saying "___scribe" and such because I don't want my own
messages to bounce!)

Not to worry ... happens to the best of us....
