Kim, the Karate Kid, wax on - wax off; a slap with a right and a stroke with
the left. Hey, some of us still enjoy some of our old stuff. But I think
most modern writers write as if they are locked up in airless desks. Isn't
the entire New Yorker staff housed in a Thomasville model with an oversized
pencil drawer?
