the top quote is "coldplay."

bottom quote is "50 cent."

(oh yeah!)

may I quote some song lyrics? (and ya'll can play "find the literary
reference(s)"):

"terrified of telephones and shopping malls and knives
and drowning in the pools of other lives
rely a bit too heavily on alcohol and irony
get clobbered on my courtesy
in love with love and lousy poetry

and I'm leaning
on this stupid fence
between past
and present tense
and I'm losing
all those stupid games
that I swore I'd never play
and it almost feels ok"

my point is in there somewhere, pardon my taking the easy way out.

As a youngster, I used to believe I could communicate entirely by qouting
pieces of song lyrics. lousy rhymes can go a long way.
