    At the end of one of his books (? Black Mischief ?),
    Waugh condemns his hero to a terrible fate - being
    compelled to read aloud the entire works of Dickens
    over & over, ad infinitum, to his African captor, Seth,
    a huge black cannibal king.

    My refinement: subjecting the offender to a similar
    non-stop recital by John O. of the complete writings
    of Jacques Derrida.

    (Or - except it would be forbidden by your constitution
    - myself reading The Run to the Sea.)
